Cost Engineer Mechanical Engineering

As a Mechanical Cost Engineer working for an international market leader in technical services, your expertise will be much needed. You will be active in many projects. You will provide your clients with advice, calculations, and business quotes. Your clients will be owners of hospitals, office buildings, ATES installations, and so on.

You are responsible for the pricing of the mechanical installations. You can think of the following systems: large ventilation systems, heating systems, cooling systems, gas extraction systems, etcetera. You – and your team – provide advice and quotations for complete processes: from budget to plan development and maintenance.

Also, your position as a Mechanical Cost Engineer offers many career opportunities. You can achieve promotions and grow within (and outside) your department. For example, you can start as a Junior Cost Engineer. Within a few years, you can progress to Senior Cost Engineer and eventually to Solution Engineer.

Job requirements

A technical associate's degree (such as mechanical engineering).
Work experience regarding technical installations (within hospitals, university buildings, company buildings, offices, or data centers).
You are willing to continue to develop yourself through training courses.
You have a decisive and enterprising mindset.
You can plan and organize well.
You are commercially oriented.
You are enthusiastic and creative.

Cost Engineer Werktuigbouwkunde

Als fulltime cost engineer werktuigbouwkunde voor een internationale marktleider in de technische dienstverlening werk jij in teamverband aan zeer diverse projecten. Jullie geven zakelijk advies en stellen offertes op voor klanten. Dit kunnen adviezen en offertes zijn voor ziekenhuizen, kantoorgebouwen of WKO-installaties bijvoorbeeld.

Jij draagt zorg voor de prijsvorming van de werktuigbouwkundige installaties. Als we het hebben over werktuigkundige installaties kun je denken aan de volgende systemen: ventilatoren, verwarmingen, koelingssystemen, installaties voor het afvoeren van gassen enzovoorts. Vanuit jouw specialisme verzorg je – samen met je team – adviezen en offertes van volledige trajecten: van begroting tot planontwikkeling en onderhoud.

Jouw functie biedt vele doorgroeimogelijkheden. Je kunt een mooie loopbaan realiseren en doorgroeien binnen en buiten je afdeling. Je kunt bijvoorbeeld als junior cost engineer instromen en binnen enkele jaren doorgroeien tot senior cost engineer en zelfs tot solution engineer.

Functie-eisen

Een afgeronde technische mbo-opleiding (denk aan werktuigbouwkunde).
Werkervaring op het gebied van technische installaties (binnen o.a. ziekenhuizen, universiteitsgebouwen, bedrijfsgebouwen, kantoren of datacenters).
Je bent bereid jezelf te blijven ontwikkelen d.m.v. het volgen van opleidingen.
Je bent daadkrachtig en initiatiefrijk.
Je bent sterk op het gebied van plannen en organiseren.
Je bent commercieel ingesteld.
Je bent enthousiast en creatief.
